Al Hamra Fort is just forty five minutes drive along the coastal highway from Dubai International Airport, fifteen minutes from the Ras Al Khaimah souks, a few minutes from the rolling sand hills of the desert, and around half-an -hour's road journey from the ruggedly beautiful Hajar Mountains.

Designed along the lines of a traditional Arabian fort, the Al Hamra Fort comprises seventy five luxurious air-conditioned guestrooms with separate sitting areas and large balconies; six elegant suites offering separate living/dining areas, dressing rooms and expansive bathrooms; and two Royal Tower Suites with individual rooftop terraces, spectacular panoramic views, private sundecks and jacuzzis.

With its two kilometre stretch of dazzling white sand beach, the Al Hamra Fort is uniquely placed to offer a whole host of water-based activities. These include water-skiing, waterboarding, tube riding, parasailing, kayaking, surf-biking, paddle boats, windsurfing, wake/knee boarding, laser sail boats, catamaran and banana boat rides and deep sea fishing. There is also a large, fully equipped Fitness Centre, an aerobics studio, massage room, outdoor jacuzzi, temperature controlled swimming pool,two floodlit tennis courts, minigolf and separate saunas for men and women. Other pastimes include backgammon, chess, dominoes, scrabble, cards or petanque. For children the hotel provides a playroom and a shaded paddling pool.
